Dallas- On April 11, 2015, Silver Loves Mercury played to an enormous crowd at the Gas Monkey Bar N Grill. The show was no ordinary concert; it was to celebrate Roxi’s, the lead singer’s, birthday. As with any Silver Loves Mercury show, this was a spectacle not easily forgotten. Silver Loves Mercury stormed the Harley Davidson Maverick stage at the Gas Monkey with such ferocity and energy it was hard to believe that these cats were on stage killing it less than twenty four hours before, at the Deep Ellum Arts Fest.
Playing hard, fast and strong from the get-go, while showing absolutely no signs of fatigue, it was apparent that the band definitely had their Wheaties that morning. Silver Loves Mercury dominated the venue and won over the crowd so quickly and so easily with their extraordinary stage presence and their unique brand of hard rock/alt-punk fusion.

Silver Loves Mercury gave an outstanding performance, playing songs spanning the group’s five years. This troupe of skilled musicians totally played their hearts out, ensuring that each and every single ticketholder got their money’s worth..and then some.
Candy Ace expertly hammered out steady driving beats on percussion with the timing and precision that one would normally equate with a performance at the DSO, rather than a rock show. Then there was Chris Menta on bass, who expertly thundered out wicked-sick riffs which immaculately complimented Roxi's incredible vocal range. Her oh-so sultry taunts and ear-shattering screams echoed throughout the house, spurred on by axeman Kitty's heinous licks which cut right to the bone.
The stars must have been aligned or something, because all of the ingredients for a kickass concert fell right into place. From the house techies and crew, to the audience, to the band, everything seemed to come together and gel so perfectly, it was simply astounding. Even more so, given the fact that that the Candy Ace and Chris Menta were stand-ins.
Candy has been with the live act for some time now but this was just Chris’ fourth show with the group. But you wouldn't have known that from witnessing these incredibly adept and accomplished artists on stage. All four members were totally in sync with one another; it was like they had been playing together all their lives. Each is a superb musician in his/her own right, but together, as live act, they are unstoppable. The crowd at the Gas Monkey was standing in the presence of awe-inspiritng talent and everyone in the house knew it.

Silver Loves Mercury was started around five years ago when guitar virtuoso and Grammy nominated and Platinum producing artist, Kitty, began a side project with vocalist Roxi V. The duo quickly gained popularity and with the momentum of a runaway freight train, they took to the road, playing the regional circuit. Shortly thereafter, Silver Loves Mercury recorded their first album, Treasures of Gomorrah, 2010, which skyrocketed to top of Jango Music’s charts, holding a spot in the top 80 for nine straight weeks.
With Roxi on vocals and Kitty performing all the instrumental parts himself, the duo recorded another album the following year, an EP called Bullet for Your Black Heart. As with the previous record, all music was recorded, mastered and produced in-house by Kitty. The pair is currently working on new material and hopes to release a new album in the spring of 2016.
As hard as it to believe, Silver Loves Mercury is currently unsigned and is seeking representation. You can scope their tunes on their reverbnation page and watch the video for single Suckerpunch, 2011 on Youtube. Be sure to follow this righteous band on Facebook for updates and more info.
