Alright, alright, alright! The 817WATTS website is finally live! The monthly print magazine will be launching soon, but until then (and in between issues), this site will serve as your go-to for all things local music in the DFW area. Take a look around the site! We'll be featuring galleries from shows, tracks and videos from bands, and (what we're most excited about) is the monthly calendar. No longer will local music fans have to dig through pages of Facebook events... we should have it all covered for you on the calendar page. SO NO MORE EXCUSES TO MISS LOCAL MUSIC!

BANDS! What we need from you... we need tracks to feature on the site! The ones up there currently are space fillers, and honestly, I have haven't played them. I don't care to. They aren't local to DFW. So send us your stuff!! Email us with your dropbox link or email links directly to 817watts@gmail.com. We also have a bitchin' YouTube page that will feature videos from local bands, so email those links to us as well!

We'll have more blog posts coming soon, so stay tuned. I planned on this blog post being much more insightful, but I'm currently taking tequila shots with the bassist from local band Huffer while we watch the Texas Rangers. ...I wouldn't have it any other way. xoxo, Kasi Daine
